Ek Abhilasha: An Efforts Towards Making Dreams Come True

In memory of Dr. Sapna Newar, former head of the Department of Economics, the Economics Society annually identifies the needy and organises a Donation Drive on 22nd November for them.

First Donation Drive

The first Donation Drive was held on November 21-22, 2020, in two phases. In the first phase, the collected groceries, clothes, and toiletries were donated to Mother Teresa Old Age Home (C-scheme, Jaipur), and in the second phase, stationery items were collected and donated to small children of SOS Children's Village, Jhotwara, Jaipur.

Second Donation Drive

The second donation drive was organized in collaboration with Swachhta Action Plan Committee (Greenery Unit) and Eco-friendly Club, St Xavier’s College, Jaipur on 22 November 2021. The drive was organized in a government primary school of village Narrottampura adopted by the college under the Unnat Bharat Yojana (UBA) which had around 50 students from grade Nursery - Vth. The collected stationary kits and plants saplings were distributed. Along with the distribution of the kits, a drawing competition was also organized. The students prepared beautiful drawings on diverse topics such as Swach Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, etc.
