Since its inception in 2010, the Department of Economics has been setting high benchmarks for itself and others. The main motto of the department is to train its students so that they not only excel academically but also attain skills and attributes that would allow them to thrive in life and benefit society and the country at large. We are proud that the Department of Economics has students with diverse thoughts, skills, innovative ideas and knowledge. The Department acts as a facilitator by providing a broad range of opportunities, the students thereby enrich their learning and hone their skills. The Economics Society is an initiative taken up to provide a platform where students can connect, hold group discussions, be exposed to ongoing economic issues and opportunities, and organize the Department’s events. The Society serves as a platform for the students of the department to showcase their leadership qualities and provide them with ample peer learning opportunities.
